The second tier of the Nigerian Communications Commission’s ‘Roundtable Forum with Academia, Telecom Industry and other Stakeholders holds at Tayo Adenirokun Hall, University of Lagos on 14th and 15th November 2018.
The first engagement which was the opening ceremony held at Bayero University Kano, in Kano on 24th and 25th October 2018, in the northwest region of the country.

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) received the award for Consumer Satisfaction Guarantee Agency of Government, an award organized by the Nigeria Assembly Public Orientation And Awards Ceremony (NASS Award 2018) on Saturday, 10th November 2018 at the Merit House, Abuja.
The Commission was nominated for this Award because of its leadership, commitment to consumer satisfaction, resolution of consumer complaints and its effective regulatory functions for the industry.

Nigeria and 12 other African countries have been elected into the membership of the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) Council and, Radio Regulations Board.
At the 20th Plenipotentiary Conference of the Council, held at the weekend in Dubai, UAE, ITU Secretary General, Houlin Zhao, was also re-elected for another term of four years.

The e-Nigeria Conference, Exhibition and Award, an Annual International Technology show hosted by National Information Technology Development Agency ( NITDA), has as one of its objective to discover new socio-economic development opportunities provided by increasing advancement in technologies and innovation.
The e-Nigeria 2018 theme “ Promoting a Digital Economy in an Era of Disruptive Technologies Through Effective Regulations” is a response to the complex mix of digital opportunities, challenges and burden, driven by the increasing influence of emerging technologies on commerce and society. The major goal of e-Nigeria 2018 is to accelerate the development and access to digital products and services for Nigerian citizens, ultimately creating Africa’s largest single digital market by 2020.

The Nigerian Communications Commission held a Stakeholders Forum on the Establishment of Internet Industry Code of Practice in Abuja on 2nd November 2018.
The Forum, which held at the headquarters of the Commission, was to deliberate with relevant stakeholders on the Code of Practice draft in order to clearly define the rights and obligations of Internet Access Service Providers and, put in place measures that will safeguard and protect
minors, vulnerable audiences and consumers as a whole.
