The Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), Kaduna earlier today hosted the Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Prof. Umar Danbatta, where he discussed a wide range of issues affecting the telecommunications industry.
Appearing on “Hannu da yawa”, a popular programme on Radio Nigeria Kaduna, broadcast in Hausa language and which has hosted governors, ministers and top government officials in the country, Danbatta spoke on various telecoms issues bordering on connectivity and consumer protection.

More commendations have come the way of Prof Umar Garba Danbatta, the Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), and the agency for “the sound leadership and regulatory focus propelling the growth of telecoms sector in Nigeria."
Emir of Bichi, Alh. Nasir Ado Bayero, gave the commendations while receiving the Board of Commissioners of NCC, led by its Chairman, Prof Adeolu Akande, as part of activities lined up by the Commission for its ongoing 2020 Board Retreat in Kano State.

The Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, has attributed the groundbreaking success of the nation’s telecom regulatory agency, the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) to the quality of leadership the regulatory body enjoys.
Speaking while receiving the Board of Commissioners of NCC, led by its Chairman, Prof Adeolu Akande, the monarch also commended President Muhammadu Buhari for reappointing the Executive Vice Chairman of the regulatory body, Prof. Umar Garba Danbatta after a highly-successful first five-year tenure as NCC's helmsman.

The critical role being played by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) under the leadership of its Executive Vice Chairman, Prof. Umar Danbatta, in advancing the frontiers of broadband development has been recognised at this year’s edition of the Nigeria Tech Innovation and Telecoms Awards (NTITA), 2020.
Regarded as the Oscars of Nigeria’s telecoms industry, the awards, powered by InstinctWave, Africa's leading business-to-business event organizer in collaboration with the Association of Telecoms Companies of Nigeria (ATCON) in Abuja at the weekend, saw the Commission and other industry stakeholders, including the Hon. Consumers of telecom services who are dissatisfied with services rendered to them by any of the Service Providers have a right to seek redress of the situation by reporting to NCC after they would have reported to their respective service providers and are still not satisfied with the responses.
1. When dissatisfied with telecom services:
The Consumer should contact the service provider, whose services or product he/she is not satisfied with, to make a complaint and obtain a complaint ticket number. In case the issue is not satisfactorily resolved by the service provider, the consumer should contact NCC through any of the following:
